PUBLIC NOTICE OF BUDGT HEARING FOR 2018-2019 BUDGET
The proposed budget for fiscal year 2018-2019 for the Town of St. Pauls has been presented to the Town Board and is available for public inspection in the office of the Town Clerk at Town Hall at 210 W. Blue Street, St. Pauls, NC 28384 from 9:00 M to 5:00 PM on weekdays.
The Town of St. Pauls Board will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at 7:00 PM at 210 W. Broad Street, St. Pauls, NC 28384for the purpose of receiving comments on the proposed budget. Persons wishing to be heard are invited to make oral or written comments.
The proposed budget does not alter the current property tax rate from $0.65 per $100 assessed value. The minimum water rated for 2,000 gallons is proposed to increase from $14 to $16. The charges for 0ver 5001 gallons will increase from $3.30 per 1,000 gallons to $4.00 per $1,000 gallons. The out of town water rates will stay double of the in-town rates. The minimum sewer charges for 2,000 gallons are proposed to increase from $24.00 to $26.00 per 2,000 gallons. The charges for over 5,001 gallons are proposed to increase from $2.45 per 1,000 gallons to $3.00 per 1,000 gallons. The out of town sewer rates will remain double the in-town rates. Solid Waste/ Garbage rates will remain $17.00 a month. Home Occupation permits will be established at $25. Cemetery plots for out-of-town residents will increase to $1,050 for a single plot. All other fees are proposed to remain the same as this budget year.
